Position Overview

As a Solution Architect, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for other Salesforce professionals working alongside you. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions.

Required Skills

  • Ability to manage complexity. Leverage your Solution Architect skills to lead technical design and architecture during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment.  
  • Passionate about solving problems. Lead and collaborate with team members to translate our client partners’ goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions, with an eye for simplicity and an ear to truly hear their needs. 
  • Be a trusted partner. Build relationships and partnerships with internal teams and client business sponsors and other key stakeholders to meet organizational objectives, manage expectations, and communicate on progress.  
  • Experience applying analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities, and planning. 
  • Ability to develop strong interdepartmental and cross-functional working relationships within a collaborative team environment. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written, spoken and interactive when online) in conveying/understanding complex concepts both to/from technical and non-technical audience. 
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. 
  • Passionate about being a team player, motivating people, ensuring accountability (self- and team) and achieving exceptional results. 
  • Conduct research into clients’ use of Salesforce, producing a report of findings with recommended steps and a roadmap for Salesforce solutions. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements. 
  • Review solutions and recommend improvements. 
  • Groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog, in liaison with stakeholders on the project. 
  • Own the design of Salesforce and (optionally) other affiliated solutions for Sales, Service, and platform solutions.
  • Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes.
  • Provide guidance on user story writing style.
  • Ensure success and acceptance criteria are defined for each story. 
  • Describe and illustrate designs with appropriate justifications. 
  • Ensure documentation of the steps for testing. 
  • Groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog, in liaison with Salesforce SMEs. 
  • Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce. 
  • Collaborative project and workstream planning. 
  • Minimum Salesforce certified: Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant 
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect driving delivery of complex technical solutions, preferably in the Salesforce ecosystem. (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ ideally).
  • Optional Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Designer, Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Architecture, Service Cloud.
  • Active in the Salesforce community.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Finance or a similar field of study.

Location

All roles are currently remote and US-based; some travel will be required based on customer or company need. We are not creating Road Warriors, and it is a new world where remote is often favored by our clients.
